April 8, 2009

Many of us in creative leadership roles are faced with multiple challenges on a daily bases. At times our responsibilities waver between managing people, being an artist or dealing with with the cost of running our business. Maintaining our creative passion at its healthiest level can sometimes be very difficult, especially in a trying time as we are experiencing now.

Several years I ago learned about Accidental Creative, http://accidentalcreative.com Pod Cast by Todd Henry, from my buddy Chip Sheean at Deutsch advertising. AC, as known by its followers is a destination filled with interviews of authors, creative leaders, scientists, business and spiritual consultants. It's a wonderful place where you can find solutions to issues you're facing as leader or aspiring to be one and your looking for tools to be more effective.

You'll discover creative leaders like Ricardo Crespo, Worldwide Creative Director for Mattel Toys Hot Wheels, share how he builds brands in a the extremely competitive space of toys. Or Keith Ferrazzi author of Never Eat Alone, I highly recommend his interview, also read his book if your role is in business development. AC will quickly become part of your tool box if your looking to be affective in the long term.
